Builds

I love building things enough to do it in my free time. More recently, I'm building with and around AI. Here are a few of my side projects from the last decade.

Hand-Built

UNCO

49 Episodes

An interview podcast I created to learn from people building great products. 49 episodes with leaders from Google, Amazon, Apple, Etsy, MailChimp, Khan Academy, BuzzFeed, The Verge, and Automattic. Built my network and shaped how I think about product.

Accessible

Complete

The leading podcast about accessibility in tech for several years running. Co-hosted with accessibility journalist Steven Aquino. A listener — Facebook's Head of Accessibility — who I'd never met recommended me for a role at the company. Recruiting reached out, and the rest is history.

Apple Plugs

Live

The day the iPhone 7 launched without a headphone jack, my friends and I launched Apple Plugs. It's a parody guerrilla marketing campaign playfully poking fun at the iPhone 7. Adweek, The Verge, The Atlantic and 60 other publications wrote about it. We were trending on Twitter and hit the front pages of Reddit, Imgur and Product Hunt. We leveraged the buzz to launch Nicer Studio.

Decline Stickers

Retired

Alyssa and I built this iMessage sticker pack of hand-illustrated phrases that help you decline with confidence. We ranked #4 in the iMessage App Store and were repeatedly featured by Apple.

Fitness Totals

Live

Fitness Totals helps you manage your long-term fitness by emphasizing weekly, monthly and yearly activity and making these totals available in customizable widgets. A couple of friends and I built this for fun, and we've been lucky enough to get very positive press from 9to5Mac, TechRadar, iMore, and MacStories, among others.

Smallchat

Live

A live chat widget for websites where conversations are managed entirely in Slack. Created with the Nicer co-founders. Hit #4 Product of the Day on Product Hunt.

Blox

Retired

A 3D physics stacking game for iOS and Android. Hit #1 in games on Product Hunt and had tens of thousands of players worldwide.
