Unlimited Free Desktop Wallpapers with Unsplash for Mac
If you're anything like me, you enjoy new desktop wallpapers. I tend to switch mine pretty regularly. Unless I'm using something my wife made or from MKBHD's awesome folder of free wallpapers, I get mine from Unsplash.
What is Unsplash?
Unsplash is my go-to resource for the photos I use on this blog. You'll notice most of my photo attributions (at the bottom of each post) link to their site. The photography is consistently beautiful, high-resolution and completely free to use in any way you want. (You don't even have to include attribution.)
Note: I have a handful of my own photos free to download on Unsplash. One, in particular, has been viewed a quarter million times to date.
Unsplash Wallpapers for Mac
The people over at Unsplash have made a handy little Mac menu bar app to simplify changing out your wallpaper. You can click refresh anytime to get a new image. Once it loads you're presented with 3 options—set it as your new desktop background with one click, view the Unsplash page for the photographer or download the image directly.
The preferences pane gives you the option to have the app automatically launch when you're starting your computer (recommended) and to have the app automatically change your background daily, weekly or monthly.
The Unsplash Wallpaper App for Mac is free on the Mac App Store. Definitely, check it out.
